Therefore, the winners of the most important advertising festival in the USA will be decided by a jury formed of mostly women – the decision was taken by the organizers in order to reflect the contribution of women in the advertising industry all around the world.
In in 2013, as a first on the Romanian market, Catalin Dobre – Executive Creative Director McCann Bucuresti – was a member of the Clio Awards Jury, this year it was Ioana’s turn, who will be part of the Direct & Engagement Jury.
Ioana Filip is 28, she is in the McCann Bucharest team since 2011 and has won awards at the most important European festivals (Effie Romania, Eurobest, Golden Drum), but also global (Cannes Lions). Ioana has also been a jury member at New York Festivals in 2013.
“The access to festivals which seemed unapproachable is becoming a beautiful precedent for Romania and a natural consequence of the projects that we’ve done in the last years. This year, for the first time in the history of the festival, the Clio Awards organizers have searched for the most talented women in the creative industry, in order to prove that this is not an industry lead by men. I feel honored to be among these women and to be able to represent the Romanian creative industry. I am eager to meet the other jurors, but I will put this on my age, not on the fact that this is how women are. As far as I know, I am the youngest member of the Clio Jury”, stated Ioana Filip, Group Creative Director McCann Bucuresti.
